Etude House Soon Jung Mild Defence Sun Cream Review

Hello everyone, in today’s post, I am going to review Soon Jung Mild Defense Sun Cream from Etude House. Read on to know my experiences about this product.

What it is:
Soon Jung Mild Defence Sun Cream provides inorganic sun protection with a low-irritant formula and protects skin from dust pollution. The non-sticky and creamy texture makes daily application a breeze while it soothes and calms skin with Cooling Relief upon application.. It has SPF49 PA+++ with minimal coverage.

Amount of product:
0.84 fl.oz. / 25 ml (Also available in 50 ml too)

How to apply:
At the last step of skincare, evenly apply on areas exposed to UV rays such as the face, neck, and arms.  Reapply every 2 hours.

*Let the sunscreen dry down properly before applying makeup or anything on top of it.

The packaging of the product is simple. The sunscreen comes in an easy-to-use white squeeze tube. All related detail is mentioned at the back of the tube in Korean except the ingredients is in English. I got mine in 25 ml but they also have in 50 ml too. The tube is small, sturdy, easy to squeeze and great for travel. Overall, the packaging is just perfect, there are no flaws in the packaging.
The sunscreen itself is in white color and has semi-thick texture. The consistency of the lotion is neither too thick nor too runny, which is a perfect texture because sometimes sunscreen with thick texture is quite hard to spread the product. It spreads easily on the skin and requires a little dabbing for it to get absorbed into the skin nicely.

Surprisingly, this sunscreen doesn't have any smell or chemical scent at all.

Oil level from 1-5:

Etude House Soon Jung Mild Defence Sun Cream leaves a shiny/dewy layer and minimal white cast on the skin, but it will settles down on its own after 10-15 minutes.  The face does look a bit greasy and quite sticky but at the same time feels a bit moisturized on the skin. So, if your skin is a bit dry and need thick moisturizing sunscreen, this product is for you. It does feels slightly heavy and it feels like the product is sitting on the skin too. If you have super oily skin, I don't think you will enjoy it because it could be slightly oily for you if you are living in hot and humid country and it might block your pores but for dry or normal skin types, you will enjoy this product. I also noticed that the product doesn't settle very well on the skin especially when you sweat, it looks very unappealing. Aside from that, I don't have any problem in removing the product using oil cleanser but if you use normal foam cleanser, it did not enough to remove it on your skin.

- Feels very moisturizing
- Brighten up skin tone
- It doesn't smell chemical
- Travel-friendly

- A little bit greasy
- Take time to fully absorb
- Not for oily skin
- Quite sticky
- Moderate protection against UVA rays
- Not long-lasting if you sweat a lot

Overall, I enjoy it. My skin doesn't show any bad reactions under normal skin types. I like the finish it gives which leaving my skin with minimal white cast and makes my skin look brighter. It’s definitely a sunscreen that suitable for everyday sunscreen with minimal sun exposure plus with no sweat but not for heavy sun exposure and too much sweat.
